Antipsychotics-Essentials

Online - 15/01/2027

This study day aims to develop your knowledge and skills in providing safe care and clinical management of mental health service users taking antipsychotic medications. Particularly for staff who experience client contact and who are looking to enhance their practice, specifically those with limited knowledge of how medications used in the treatment and management of psychosis and schizophrenia work (including clinical benefits and side effects).

This one-day training, which explores the basics of how Antipsychotic medications work, is designed for a wide range of health and social care professionals who experience client contact in any capacity. This training is beneficial for all health professionals (registered nurses, social workers, psychologists, student nurses, nurse prescribers, nursing associates, health care support workers) involved in providing care for people with mental illness taking antipsychotic medication.
