Course Description

The Intermediate Foundation runs from October to December and is suitable for those looking for an introduction to Arts and Play Therapies. Intermediate courses have a strong focus on experiential learning, creating a space to put theory into practice.

Advanced Foundation runs from January to March and is suitable for those who have either completed the Intermediate course or have some experience of Arts and Play therapies. The Advanced course has a stronger focus on theory and is suitable for those with some experience in experiential learning.

Please note that the completion of any Arts and Play Therapy Short Course does not allow you to practice as a therapist or guarantee a place on the qualifying Master's degree. Although these courses are experiential in nature, they are not intended to provide therapy, as such, to participants.

Courses are subject to a minimum number of participants to go ahead. If the course does not go ahead, you will be issued with a full refund; however, the University will not be liable for any additional costs incurred.

A Certificate of Attendance will be issued to participants following successful completion of the course.

Online courses will be held on Microsoft Teams; full instructions for accessing the courses will be shared ahead of the first session.

On-Campus courses will be held at Whitelands College; information relating to travel and parking will be shared ahead of the first session.

Places are limited and will be confirmed once payment is received. To allow for enrolment, course bookings will close two weeks before the course start date, so early booking is advised.

If you have any queries or are booking an Alumni place, please contact shortcourses@roehampton.ac.uk, and a member of the team will get back to you.
