Roehampton Hardship Fund

We understand that pursuing a degree is not always a smooth road and many students will face a variety of challenges along the way. Some students face significant financial barriers and having access to hardship funds can be the support they need to complete their studies. Your donation will help support those students most in need and help them reach their academic goals. Together, we can make sure that financial hardship never stands in the way of potential.

Mental Health and Wellbeing

The University of Roehampton Support Services are practical and passionate with a student focused mentality. The work they do is incredible and the impact more so: it can be life-changing for students. Mental health impacts all of us. Supporting the mental health and wellbeing of our students is a priority at Roehampton. However, there has been an increase in mental health disclosures in recent years which has placed a demand on support services already funded by the University.

This fund will support our investment to build more consulting rooms and will enable the Wellbeing team to run a greater range of early intervention and prevention activities. With your help we can accommodate three more counsellors, which would enable at least 70 more student appointments per week.

Student Enterprise and Innovation

Enabling students to develop successful graduate careers is a key strategic focus for Roehampton. An increasing number of Roehampton students go on to develop their own business or work freelance – especially across the creative and digital industries – but this can be a difficult choice for those students who lack time, knowledge and funds to develop their ideas, purchase kit, or acquire entrepreneurial skills and networks.

By supporting this fund you will enable their career aspirations to become reality. Donations can directly support student start-up businesses or provide access to specialist advice for our most entrepreneurial students.
