Gift to Roehampton

Description

Your philanthropic gift to Roehampton can help change the lives of current and future students and ensure that the University continues to make a significant and positive effect on wider society.

The Paul & Pilar O’Prey Scholarship Fund

This full fee waiver scholarship has been established to benefit a cohort of 4 students applying for a September 2020 start, and it will be prioritised for students from groups often under-represented in Higher Education. By supporting this fund you will be helping to change the lives of four students at Roehampton. As the Vice-Chancellor says in his own words: “Our hope for the Scholarship is that we will have four scholars—one per college—and that these scholars will be known as people who make a positive difference to everyone else’s experience of the University.”

The Sir David Bell Media Centre

The Sir David Bell Media Centre marks the next step in the transformation of our campus, and will provide a new cutting-edge media facility for south-west London. Creating new facilities such as these is vital to ensure we continue to provide our students with the resources they need to succeed, and our staff with the facilities to support and enhance academic research that improves lives, enriches culture and makes a positive contribution to our understanding of the world.

Sports and Esports

Supporting a sport scholarship will help provide both financial and mentoring support for students who excel in sports, enabling them to study their programme whilst competing at national or international standard in their chosen activity.  In 2018 the university launched its new Esports scholarships, the first of its kind in the UK, to help develop students’ competitive gaming skills alongside academic learning and progression. Our Esports scholarship is part of our investment in Esports at the University, with new facilities and a student society.
