Our Art Psychotherapy Summer School this year provides participants with the opportunity to experience  an intensive 5 session experiential class, and involves experiential learning about Art Psychotherapy and will be of interest to anyone wishing to find out more about training in one of this discipline as well as individuals wanting to explore their creativity in a unique environment. In addition this Summer School may be of interest to mental health professionals, teachers and social workers etc. interested in learning more about these unique and creative forms of therapy. A degree of active participation will be expected from all participants who should therefore be prepared for a degree of personal disclosure, sharing and exploration.

The Art Psychotherapy Summer School provides participants with an opportunity to engage in a deeper and more intensive exploration of the art therapeutic process in 5 consecutive days. Participants will be invited to engage in a range of art making process to explore their own personal symbols and unconscious imagery in a safe and playful environment. Course Description

Links will be made to theory and clinical practice. Insight derived from the workshop aims to heighten participants’ understanding and sensitivity to non-verbal communication. This week provides experiential learning about art therapy. It is therefore of interest to anyone wishing to find out more about training as an art therapist or artists wanting to explore art making in a unique environment
Participants should wear clothes that they are comfortable to make art in. 

Applicants should also note that the active, experiential nature of all the arts and play therapy workshops can be intense and emotionally demanding and are likely to involve a degree of personal disclosure, sharing and exploration.
