PTOT Practice Educator Training

These online workshops are for Practice Supervisors and Practice Assessors who are mentoring or will mentor University of Roehampton students in Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech and Language Therapy.
 
Each workshop session will take place from 2:00 to 3:30pm and will be conducted via Microsoft Temas.
 
16th July 2026: The workshop focuses on foundational knowledge and assisting students who are facing difficulties on the placement
 
14th Sept 2026: The workshop focuses on foundational knowledge and documentation, such as CPAF. This workshop is just for Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy. It is not for Speech and Language Therapy.

Learning Outcomes for the sessions are...

  • Develop an understanding of the relevant curricula
  • Describe the role of the practice educator
  • Understand how to be an effective practice educator
  • Learning styles; Reflective practice; Culture Models of supervision; Planning
  • Build knowledge and confidence in your role as a practice educator; the session will either focus on foundation knowledge and documentation e.g. CPAF, or foundation knowledge and supporting struggling students.
