PTOT Practice Educator Training

This online workshop is designed for Practice Supervisors and Practice Assessors who are or will be mentoring University of Rohempaton students in the Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech & Language Therapy programs.
 
Each workshop session will take place from 2:00 to 3:30pm and will be conducted via Microsoft Temas.
 
The workshop that focuses on foundational knowledge and documentation, such as CPAF, is specifically for those involved in Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy.
 
The workshop that focuses on foundational knowledge and assisting students who are facing difficulties is specifically for Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech & Language Therapy.

Learning Outcomes for the sessions are...

  • Develop an understanding of the relevant curricula
  • Describe the role of the practice educator
  • Understand how to be an effective practice educator
  • Learning styles; Reflective practice; Culture Models of supervision; Planning
  • Build knowledge and confidence in your role as a practice educator; the session will either focus on foundation knowledge and documentation e.g. CPAF, or foundation knowledge and supporting struggling students.
