Receptive music therapy is based on music-listening techniques that can be used in a therapeutic context to address a range of psychological, physical, or spiritual needs. One of its most known forms is called Guided Imagery and Music (GIM). This is a music-assisted therapy in which we use music programs to stimulate and sustain a dynamic unfolding of inner experiences, through images, feelings, senses, thoughts or memories elicited by the music.
