Course Description

Using the established doll play procedure, whereby the interviewer asks the child to complete a series of simple stories, this newly validated system of analysis enables you to code for the child’s attachment strategy, mentalising, depression and screen for PTSD. The CAPA can be used with children aged from 3 to about 11 years and there is a pilot procedure for use with adolescents. The course is suitable for health and social care professionals working with troubled children, fostered and adopted children, and those interested in research. It includes e-mail tutorial feedback on practice DVDs and a reliability test leading to certification by Dr Farnfield. For more information see www.attachment-courses-direct.co.uk
