Presented By Geoffery Unkovich

Geoffery Unkovich is a lecturer in dance movement psychotherapy at University of Roehampton, and has taught on DMP training programmes at Goldsmith College and in Croatia and Romania. He has extensive clinical experience in the NHS and local council service delivery with dance movement psychotherapy practice for adults with learning disabilities and complex needs.  Geoffery was a council member of the Association for Dance Movement Psychotherapy UK for four years; being chair of council for two years of his tenure. He is currently a member of the ADMP UK Professional Development Committee. Geoffery is a co-editor on the book Dance Movement Psychotherapy for People with Learning Disabilities, to be published in 2017.  He is a co-founder of DMPLDNetwork, a special interest group for dance movement psychotherapists who specialise in the field of learning disabilities; and is a co-founder of aRTSjAM an Arts Therapies improvisation collaborative. He posits that our life-worlds are sculpted by choices made and how these choices shape our space in the world. These interactions are further shaped by cultural perceptions of gender definitions that exacerbate or strengthen identity survival in the versatility of expression as man or woman.
